Position Title: Yanmar/ Hustler Sales Rep

Department: Sales

Position Reports to: Construction Sales Manager 

Summary of Position:

The Salesperson is responsible for selling Delta Power Equipment’s products and services through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. He or she will reach business targets using excellent sales and communications skills, and by providing exceptional customer service to develop and maintain business relationships.  This individual will also develop his or her revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.    

Duties & Responsibilities   Duties & responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and Email.
• Attend to walk-in customer inquiries.
• Visiting potential customers to prospect for new sales.
• Gathering market and customer information.
• Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers.
• Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
• Liaising with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders.
• Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the Manager in the end of the day
• Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
• Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.

• Answer questions and offer suggestions to prospects based on a thorough knowledge of the product line.
• Offer additional products/services to customers related to the sale.
• Assist customers with any relevant paperwork to complete the sale.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of competitor’s products for comparison.
• Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects.
• Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
• Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
• Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.
• Attend periodic sales training where applicable.

  Job Requirements  

Technical/Professional Knowledge

-       Strong knowledge and experience of the product line being offered.

-        Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.

-        Strong knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

-        Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.

-        Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.

-        Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.

-        Excellent listening skills and strong written communication skills.

-        Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

-        A confident and determined approach.

-        Resilience - and the ability to cope with rejection.

-        Self-motivation and drive

-        Professional demeanour, selling style, and appearance.     

Compensation:

Compensation will be based on experience.
